Is Genie Vault free to use?
Yes. Genie Vault is currently free to download and use. Create your Vault and start by asking Genie about products and prices.
Do I need to add receipts before I can use Genie?
No. You can start by asking about products, shops and prices. Add your purchases when you’re ready to explore your own spending and get recommendations based on your shopping.
How do the app and Genie Vault Hub work together?
You create your Vault and talk to Genie in the app. Use Genie Vault Hub alongside it to bring in purchase history from supported retailers and to find support. Sign in to the Hub with the same email address you used to register in the app.
Can I search on this website?
Product searches, your purchase history and conversations with Genie live in the app. Get Genie Vault for iOS or Android to get started.

What receipts can I add?
Photos of paper receipts from shops, and itemised digital receipts or order confirmation emails, which you can forward to your dedicated Vault inbox. Clear, complete images work best. Bank or card transaction screenshots and delivery updates without purchase details aren’t suitable.
Can I bring in purchases I made before joining?
Yes. You can add older receipt photos and forward existing order confirmation emails. For supported shops, you can also use Genie Vault Hub to request your past purchases, track the request and add the history you receive to your Vault.
What if Genie reads a receipt incorrectly?
Receipt reading can miss details, especially on blurred or cropped images, so check anything important against the original. You can get help through Genie Vault Hub; its optional Discord community lets you report a problem to the team.
What can I ask about my own shopping?
Ask what you bought, where you bought it, what you paid or how your spending changed. Genie uses the purchase information in your Vault to help you find the answer.
What does Genie remember?
Genie can retain useful context from your conversations, such as a product you’re looking for, your budget and the details that matter to you. You can tell Genie when your needs or plans change.

How does Genie choose which shops to show?
For a product in your shopping history, Genie starts with your usual shop. It can show another shop you use when its price is lower, and a shop outside your history when it has the lowest price in the comparison. The product and pack size stay the same.
Are all the prices special offers?
No. A useful price doesn’t have to be a promotion. Genie can show standard prices alongside offers, with conditions such as loyalty-card requirements made clear. Comparisons cover the shops and products available through Genie.
Does Genie always find the cheapest price?
No. Results reflect the products and shops available through Genie, not every seller. Offers and availability change, so check the price and any loyalty conditions with the retailer.
How up to date are the prices?
We update product and price information regularly, aiming for daily refreshes. The timing depends on the retailer and the information available to us. Prices, offers and availability can change between updates, so check the final price and any loyalty-card conditions with the retailer before buying.
Will Genie let me know about a product I’m interested in?
Genie can remember a product you’ve discussed, your budget and the details that matter to you. When there’s a relevant product or offer to share, you may see a message in the app or receive a push notification if notifications are enabled. You don’t need to start the same conversation again.
Do all the shops shown offer the same features?
The shop strip shows retailers whose products and prices are available through Genie. Requesting earlier purchase history is a separate feature in Genie Vault Hub, where you can see which shops support that process.

Who can see my receipts?
Partners aren’t given access to your raw receipts. Access is restricted to Genie’s systems and the authorised people who support and operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Will partners contact me?
Creating a Vault doesn’t give partners permission to contact you. Our Privacy Policy explains how offers and data permissions are handled.
Can I delete my data?
You can ask the team to delete your account and data through the optional Discord community, which you can reach from Genie Vault Hub. How anonymous, aggregated data is retained is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Where can I get help? Do I need Discord?
Start in Genie Vault Hub, signing in with the email address you registered in the app. Discord is optional — you’ll find the invitation in the Hub — and you don’t need it to create or use your Vault.
